Morgan Freeman

Gene Wilder

Gene Wilder, an actor, had a rich background. He joined military service on September 10, 1956 and was drafted in to the medical corps. He was trained at Fort Sam Houston and worked as a paramedic in Valley Forge Army Hospital. Wilder studied acting in New York City as well as his military service. He was discharged honorably in 1958. His stage name was Gene Wilder.

Andy Rooney

Andy Rooney is a famous journalist who was born in Albany, New York in 1919. He was raised in New York State's Capital District, and attended Colgate Academy. Rooney entered the Army after finishing his education in 1941. He was then posted to England. Rooney was a journalist for Stars and Stripes in Paris during World War II. Rooney was later one of the first journalists in America to report on a Nazi concentration camp. He later joined CBS as a radio journalist and quickly became a respected commentator and correspondent.

Jim Carrey

Growing up in Ontario, Canada, Jim Carrey grew up in relative poverty. He and his siblings worked as janitors in a factory. After the family moved from Texas to Toronto, their financial position improved. Jim was so impressed by the city, he decided that he would become a comedian. Even though his military service was over before he graduated highschool, it didn't stop him from becoming a stand up comedian.


Randy Couture

Randy Couture (UFC heavyweight, mixed martial artist) was in the Army. From 1982 to 1988, he was in the Army. Couture also worked as an actor during his military service. He has been featured in a number of movies, including The Expendables, a popular action series. Couture is also a well-known mixed martial artist. He also owns and operates a gym, clothing brand, and a foundation to help wounded veterans.

Rob Riggle

Rob Riggle is a comedian and actor who has served in the military. He spent more than twenty-five years in the United States Marine Corps. Rob feels secure because of his military service. It takes approximately 2 to 3 hours to visit Hollywood Walk Of Fame.

The Hollywood Walk of Fame was founded in 1960. It features 1,400 stars embedded into the sidewalk next to Grauman's Chinese Theater. It recognizes people who made a significant contribution to film, television or music. Each star is accompanied by a plaque engraved with the person's name, birth year, and category.

Hollywood Boulevard, from Gower Street down to Vine Street, has 683 stars. Around one-third (33%) of the stars were awarded posthumously.

There are several ways to view the stars. You can walk up and down the street, or you can use the free transportation provided to you by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce.
